PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
PLA Film – made from Polylacticacid, this environmentally friendly polymer is made from renewable corn starch and can degrade to CO2 and H2O in just around 8 weeks. This qualifies it for the European composting certification standards.
This film is non-toxic and can therefore be used with all food types, making it ideal for biodegradable food packaging. It complies with the regulations required of EU member states, the USA and most other countries throughout the world with specific food contact regulations.

Transparent PLA film can be used in many packaging applications - either plain or printed and laminated, for horizontal and vertical packaging machines. Such as packing fresh Flowers or books ,can be laminated with paper for making bags, can be used for wrap around label and self adhesive labels,etc.
PLA’s Composting Process
1. Evolution of the temperature
The figure of the temperature shows the temperature evolution during the disintegration test. The temperature remained well above 40°C during 8 consecutive weeks.
2. Evolution of the Oxygen concentration
It shows the oxygen concentration in the exhaust air. The oxygen concentration remained always above 10%, except once after 8 days with a value of 7.4%. However, immediate action was undertaken and the oxygen concentration increased.
