BoPLA films: a new generation of biodegradable films giving a remarkable contribution to improving sustainability of modern packaging
HYF's BOPLA films is a new generation of biodegradable films made from renewable resources (PLA bio-based resin), with the aim to drive the flexible packaging industry towards more sustainable solutions and offer consumers the possibility to choose natural products and contribute to the reduction of green house gas emissions and post consumer waste.
In many applications, HYF BOPLA films can replace oil-based plastics like polypropylene, polyester or polyethylene, providing two key environmental advantages: bio-based origin and compostability.

Product Structure
PLA-1031: is one side heat sealable transparent PLA film, which is designed to designed to cover a wide range of food and non-food packaging applications, using existing converting and packaging technologies. It is in the structure of three layers as follows:

Transparent PLA film used for packing fresh Flowers or books ,can be heat sealing for making bags, can be used for cup film, self-sealing bag ,flat pocket, etc. It has good air breathability and can be used in the anti-fog packaging of vegetable.
PLA’s Composting Process
1. Evolution of the temperature
The figure of the temperature shows the temperature evolution during the disintegration test. The temperature remained well above 40°C during 8 consecutive weeks.
2. Evolution of the Oxygen concentration
It shows the oxygen concentration in the exhaust air. The oxygen concentration remained always above 10%, except once after 8 days with a value of 7.4%. However, immediate action was undertaken and the oxygen concentration increased.
