Materials commonly used in heat shrinkable film labels for beverage bottles Release time: 2018-01-11 The food industry is experiencing rapid growth, especially the growth of beverages. Some well-known domestic beverage manufacturers such as Cestbon, Tenwow Tea House, Want Want, Coca-Cola, etc. are all seizing their own market. With the rapid development of the beverage market, heat shrinkable film labels for beverage bottles have naturally become more popular. Today Shanghai Shida will analyze the heat shrinkable film label for everyone. Commonly used materials for heat shrinkable film labels: 一. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) PVC shrink film has good transparency, high shrinkage rate, easy to tear, horizontal shrinkage rate of 90%, longitudinal shrinkage rate of 8%, low cost, The tensile strength is large, the temperature shrinkage range is large, and the heat source is not high. The main processing heat source is hot air, infrared rays or a combination of the two. Shrink film is not environmentally friendly and difficult to recycle. It will produce toxic gas when burned, which is not conducive to environmental protection. It has been banned in Europe and Japan. In my country, due to the low environmental requirements, PVC is still the most important material in the field of heat shrinkable film labels. 二. PET film (polyester) PET film is an internationally recognized environmentally friendly heat shrinkable film material, and its performance is very similar to that of PVC heat shrinkable film. It is currently an advanced unidirectional shrinkable film. Its transverse shrinkage rate is 75%, longitudinal shrinkage rate is less than 3%, and it is non-toxic and pollution-free. It is the most ideal material to replace PVC today. 三. PETG (modified polyester) PETG film is environmentally friendly, the shrinkage rate can reach 78% and the shrinkage rate can be adjusted in advance, but its raw material cost is high, the shrinkage rate is too large, and it is subject to many restrictions in use. 4. OPS (Oriented Polystyrene) OPS is a widely used alternative to PVC film. Its shrinkage performance is good, up to 65%, and it is also environmentally friendly. Compared with PVC shrink film, OPS shrink film has excellent environmental protection; compared with PETG shrink film, OPS shrink film is cheaper and more economical. The current market share of 0PS shrink film is 5%, and it still maintains a rapid growth momentum. 5. PE (polyethylene) PE is recognized as a non-toxic material, and is especially suitable for product labeling in food, medicine, and beverage industries. It can be made into a heat shrinkable film label with high transparency, good processing performance, high strength and environmental protection. However, due to its very stable non-polar properties, the printability is poor, and surface treatment is necessary. This limits its application to a certain extent. 6. The shrinkage rate of 0PP OPP film is low. It is mainly used in the field of shrink wrap labels. At the same time, the quality is good and the price is low. The highly competitive heat shrinkable film label is printed with ink on the shrink material. When packaging, only need to When the label is heated to about 70 degrees Celsius, the heat-shrinkable film label will shrink quickly and fit the beverage bottle tightly. The reason why heat shrinkable film labels are so popular among users is that shrink labels can print many exquisite patterns and can have good marketing.
